Pedro Almodovar is passed to science fiction

http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa329/yulb2/pedroalmodovarlean.jpgPedro Almodovar wants to give another twist to his career as a film director and is willing to draw from a hat a new challenge, to make a science fiction film inspired by "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".

Director Pedro Almodovar is immersed in the post-production of his new comedy, "Los amantes pasajeros" ("The Passenger Lovers") starring Javier Cámara, Cecilia Roth and Hugo Silva among others, and a cameo from Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas, who will in theaters from March next year.

But he still have time to start thinking about his next project. Apparently Pedro did not feel quite done as a film director and needs a new motivation and, apparently, his new project is to make a science fiction film based on the movie "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" filmed in 1956 by the American film director Don Siegel and starring Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter.

As Pedro Almodovar has an imagination and fantasy that always ends the impossible coming true, about his new project director said: "The way I like to do is present something completely impossible in a real way, in a way everyday. One of the scripts that I have on my desk is of that genre, so hopefully I can do it".

Almodovar was Sunday in London offering a master class at the Academy of British film about his career, his influences and his way of working, and where he defended the film as "one of the best ways to promote and sell the culture of a country". He said of his "youth" and his new ideas: "I'm still young enough to make a science fiction film. ideas of this kind I have".

Let's wait to see how his next sci-fi project. Although in many of his films, especially those made early in his career, we can find a magic touch of science fiction in each of his characters
