Offer to Colin Farrell the title role in "Winter's Tale"

Still not finished post-production of the remake of "Total Recall" when the actor Colin Farrell being offered another role in the first draft of screenwriter, producer and now director Akiva Goldsman. Nothing less than the lead of the film.

Just completed the filming of "Total Recall" has a new offer on the table to be the protagonist of the first film project of screenwriter Akiva Goldsman, "Winter's tail". Of course he will not be alone in this struggle as the rookie director has with the collaboration of two heavyweights of the film, Russell Crowe and Will Smith, the second also has a close friendship with Goldsman. Both are helping Goldsman on the script of the film and neither will the title role, will have only secondary roles within it.

Akiva Goldsman and delves into the world of management where previously had been the screenwriter as important as "Angels & Demons", "I Am Legend", "The Da Vinci Code", "I, Robot" or "A Beautiful Mind".

The argument of "Winter's Tale" is based on the eponymous book written by American novelist Mark Helprin. The film's story takes us to early twentieth century, where he speaks of Peter Lake, an Irish thief who accepts rob a New York mansion where he meets a beautiful young woman, Beverly Penn. Beverly is the heir to the family that owns the mansion and she has a terminal illness. As expected, the thief was just falling in love with the girl. Soon will come into play fantasy elements that change the lives of its characters forever.

If by any chance Colin Farrell will not accept the role in "Winter's tail", Goldsman has in his pack of potential replacements actors like Luke Evans, Garrett Hedlund, Liam Hemsworth, Aaron Johnson and Benjamin Walker.

 

The filming of "Winter's Tail" is scheduled to begin next summer in New York. Its release is already the end of next year 2013.
