The protagonist of the series "The Killing", the Swedish Joel Kinnaman, 33, is the actor who plays the robot policeman "Robocop" in the new remake to be directed by Brazilian director Jose Padilha and producer ("Elite Squad").

In this new version of the film whose original tape was directed in 1987 by Dutch filmmaker Paul Verhoeven and starring Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Dan O'Herlihy, Ronny Cox, Kurtwood Smith, Miguel Ferrer in the lead roles, the conduct on this occasion the director Jose Padilha, who has been the top defender of Kinnaman.

Padilha is writing, in Rio, the script for the new film by the screenwriter and selected by the director, Nick Schenk, who has already written for Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino".
