Peter Jackson has decided to take a long break and disappear from the stifling world of Hollywood movies. The New Zealand filmmaker has to premiere several films pending before retiring to a more specific type of film and less expensive.

It must be that the world of The Hobbit has absorbed all the energy to Peter Jackson and has decided to retire from Hollywood studios to start a cinematographic retreat completely different that he has been making in recent years, returning to his roots and be able to make movies very similar to those of his first big hit "Heavenly Creatures" (1994), and with which he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 1994, won the Silver Lion at the Venice Film Festival that year, the award Best Director at the Toronto Film Festival and 10 awards by the New Zealand Film Academy in 1995.

These titles seem more a preview of the film director retirement than the continuation of the saga of The Hobbit.

But Peter Jackson is not going to retire to New Zealand land to rest, no. The director of "The Lord of the Rings" he has in mind a thousand and one ideas that he has commented with the New Zealand Herald. In this interview, Jackson said, "We have got a few bits and pieces that we are working on, Fran (his wife) and I. The things that we are most excited about are some New Zealand stories. We just want to step off the Hollywood blockbuster thing for a while and we've had a few New Zealand stories in line for a while that we think would make great films. The Heavenly Creatures mode really".

But Peter Jackson not only going to end everything that has begun but that leaves open the question of whether direct the sequel to "The Adventures of Tintin", entitled "Prisoners of The Sun", according to the agreement it had signed with director Steven Spielberg after producing the first. This production is scheduled to premiere in 2015. Currently there are no news about the development of the film.
