Javier Bardem, nominated for Screen Actors Guild Awards

Javier Bardem, Skyfall, cine, cine españolJavier Bardem still adding good reviews all over the world and this time it was the Screen Actors Guild who want to give their support to the Spanish actor adding it to the list of nominees for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the last film in the saga of James Bond "Skyfall".

We do not know whether it will be one step closer to the Oscar race or to win the odd award high level, what we do know is that Javier Bardem is achieving great success after having played the villain and have made life impossible for whole movie secret agent James Bond.

Not the first time that Bardem is nominated for these awards. There are three occasions that his name has been shuffled with other artists and on that occasion was for the film "No Country for Old Men" (2007), Best Supporting Actor and Best Ensemble. He won both awards.

Nothing is ever impossible but this time Javier Bardem will have to face some tougher opponents than he has been in "Skyfall". The rivals to beat are: Alan Arkin ("Argo"), Robert De Niro ("Silver Lining's Playbook"), Philip Seymour Hoffman ("The Master") and Tommy Lee Jones ("Lincoln").

To know who will end up taking precious prize, will have to wait for the 19th edition of the Screen Actors Guild awards U.S. (SAG) to take place on January 27 in Los Angeles.

But that's not all. Javier Bardem has also been nominated by the critics organization Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) for the 18th edition of its annual film awards Critics Choice Awards in which he will have to face off against all the aforementioned artists but must be added to this list actor Matthew McConaughey ("Magic Mike").
