Russell Crowe rescued after missing with his kayak

According Swieciki, Russell Crowe and his friend lost their way until they finally went ashore leaving their kayaks in Huntington Bay, about 16 kilometers east of where they departed with them. The Coast Guard patrolling the area heard the actor's name was shouted from the shore, about ten o'clock at night.
