"Modern Family" and "Homeland" sweep at the Emmy Awards

The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles hosted the night of Sunday 23 September the 64th Emmy Awards and one of the most interesting battles between two great TV shows and two television stations that play it all or nothing, and have some surprises.

Since we're talking about television imagine an ad. Two major television series, two American television networks, both in the fight for trying obterner the most major awards of television. Only one can be the absolute winner.

This beginning turns out to be more entertaining than it was the Emmy Awards ceremony led by Jimmy Kimmel with his unique satirical humor that did not hesitate to participate in three hours "very boring" to the celebrities present at the Nokia Theatre, more than one celebritie with a fake smile to not notice that they was not enjoying at the ceremony.

"Homeland", a psychological thriller, won the award for Best Drama Series after a season on the cable channel Showtime. In their arms also took the awards for Best Actor for Damien Lewis, Claire Danes Best Actress, and Best Screenplay for the pilot. We also have to add two more technical awards that were delivered last week.

Meanwhile "Modern Family", issued by the ABC Television Network, won for Best Comedy Series for the third consecutive year and the awards for Best Actor and Actress for Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen, plus a prize for the Best Comedy Direction. One surprise was that Sofia Vergara did not take this time for Best Actress Award. Julie Bowen put it in a very mystical: "God bless Sofia Vergara. Thanks to all who voted for me. My job is limited to fall, making faces and say funny things. If that results in an award or something artistic is due to the people who hired me and edit all that stuff". Nobody worry, they will not end the ceremony stretching of hair, but Sofia Vergara had a "small" mishap with the dress because 20 minutes before "Modern Family" received the Emmy for Best Comedy of the Year, the back zipper of Sophia's dress, broke revealing her underwear and part of her Colombian ass.

One of the surprises of the night was for actor Jon Cryer, who was the younger brother of Charlie Sheen in the series and now Ashton Kutcher, Alan Harper, in "Two and a Half Men", winning the award for Best Comedy Actor. He himself is not believed to confess on stage: "Relax, this is clearly a terrible mistake. I'm Amazed". This will reward the actor since the departure of Charlie Sheen for his role in the series has had greater role.
