James Cameron descends into the depths of the ocean

U.S. director James Cameron has finally fulfill his dream of descending to the depths of the ocean and the only person who performed this feat, alone, in a bathyscaphe.

Not that the filmmaker has gone mad nor is preparing a new film whose protagonist is only himself, but has lived the adventure itself that has become a key player in the world. 

James Cameron, without a second thought and when it was time programming this feat has been involved in a manned submersible or, rather, a small deep-diving submersible vehicle, especially designed to reach deep under the ocean and thus make a new record, plus it already has with his films "Titanic" and "Avatar". Thus it has become the first person to reach the depths of the seas alone since, to date, had only managed to hit bottom in the Marianas the bathyscaphe Trieste in 1960, piloted by Lt. U.S. Navy Don Walsh and Jacques Piccard Swiss explorer.

In collaboration with National Geographic, Cameron has made a historic feat, touching down in the depths of the ocean. More specifically in the call the Mariana Trench, nearly 11,000 feet deep, located in the vicinity of the island of Guam in the South Pacific. And it has gotten to the small submarine named for Deepsea Challenger. This ship is about seven meters high with a capacity of one person and equipped with robotic arms and several mini-cameras that recorded the entire expedition. 

When Cameron returned to the surface after being for two hours and thirty-seven minutes, said: "Touching the bottom has never been so wonderful. I am willing to share what I see with you". 

And it has not done this for fun but has by and for National Geographic where the director spent all his time at the bottom to collect samples for investigation of marine biology, geology and geophysics and take several photographs and video footage of the pit. It is estimated that there are still more than 750,000 marine species have not been formally classified by science, three times more than those who know and thanks to this project can learn more detail. 

This material, as well as all Deepsea Challenger project will become a movie in 3D HD to be released in theaters and subsequently broadcast on National Geographic. Quite an adventure for him personally to all those followers of James Cameron certainly enjoy the film as much as he has delighted. 

But this is not just for Cameron's adventures in the depths of the ocean and that James Cameron is preparing a sequel to "Avatar" and will investigate it in the depths of the oceans of Pandora, but will have to wait until 2016 to see the result of this great dream come true.
